Feeding Therapy
Whether you're navigating the early stages of infant feeding, managing medically complex conditions, or facing the challenges of picky eating, our specialized feeding therapy services are here to support your child’s unique journey. I offer expert guidance in developing safe and efficient infant feeding skills, provide compassionate care for children with medical complexities, and create personalized plans for tube weaning that prioritize comfort and safety. I also support sensory-based feeding difficulties and help transform mealtimes for selective eaters through evidence-based strategies and family-centered support. Every bite matters—and I’m here to make each one count.
Speech and Language Therapy
Every child deserves a voice—and Flourish and Shine’s speech and language therapy services are designed to help them find it. Whether your child is experiencing delayed talking, struggling with speech sound disorders, or needs support through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), I provide compassionate, individualized care that meets them where they are. I use play-based techniques, evidence-based strategies, and provide families with the tools to build communication skills that empower children to connect, express, and shine. From first words to full conversations, I’m here to support every step of the journey.

Intensive Therapy Model: gives your child more frequent sessions in a shorter time frame, helping them build communication and feeding skills more quickly. These sessions are personalized to your child’s needs—whether it's increasing communication, safer swallowing, or overcoming picky eating—using proven techniques to support steady progress. With extra practice and guidance, kids often gain confidence and comfort in both talking and mealtimes.
1 to 2 hours a day

Weekly/Traditional Model offers steady, consistent support that fits easily into a family’s routine. It’s ideal for building skills over time—whether your child is learning new sounds, expanding their language, or working through feeding challenges. Families get practical strategies they can use between visits, helping progress feel natural and sustainable.
1 to 2 hours a week. Bimonthly options.
May be in person or virtually, 1:1 therapy sessions
Infants
Serving babies and their families, including premature babies, babies and babies with medical conditions. Providing support for those babies that are having difficulties with oral feeding such as, discomfort with feed, poor intake, extended time for feeds.
Feeding Therapy
Medically Complex
Experience with children with medical conditions such as, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, cardiac conditions, and genetic disorders. Experience and training with children with airway anomalies including tracheostomies and those that require tube feeding.
Picky or Limited Progression with Eating
Skilled with working with children who have difficulty progressing in food textures or have a limited diet. Supporting those children who have reduced oral skills for biting, chewing, or progressing to a cup or straw.
Safety during feeding is of the utmost importance, if treating therapist has concerns or to collaborate with members of your child’s medical team, signed permission to communicate from a parent is required.
Occupational therapy services are also available if your child has concerns with positioning, sensory integration, or fine motor skills.
Speech Therapy
Evaluation and treatment for children with articulation or phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency and resonance disorders
Speech and Language Therapy
Language Therapy
Evaluation and treatment for language delays or disorders to include auditory comprehension and language expression. Improving social and play skills to interact and engage more fully with family and peers.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Low tech to high tech support, will help families navigate which communication device is best for their child and how to incorporate it into their child’s daily lives.

Founder and owner of Flourish and Shine Feeding and Speech Therapy, LLC. I have over 25 years of experience as a speech language pathologist. I have been practicing in Jacksonville, FL for 20 years. I have worked in a variety of settings including early intervention, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, and school based therapy services. I have experience with fragile infants in the NICU setting as well as medically complex children. I am currently NOMAS (Neonatal Oral-Motor Assessment Scale) certified. I have worked with a variety of feeding and communication disorders and am passionate about providing compassionate, supportive, and evidence based therapy to children. I continue to push myself and grow in knowledge as I have received the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s Award for Continuing Education multiple times, am a member of the ASHA Special Interest Group for Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders, and have presented multiple times to community and local university groups in the areas of pediatric feeding and speech/language therapy. I am deeply committed to empowering children and their families through Family Centered Care—creating nurturing partnerships that help kids thrive, discover their strengths, and fully engage with the world around them.

All intensives and traditional speech therapy services are private pay only. At this time, I do not accept insurance. All invoices will be sent by Square and are HIPAA compliant. A super bill is available upon request but a referral from your child’s pediatrician is required. I also accept the Step Up for Students Scholarship.
